Terms of Service

Welcome to FableForge. These Terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Desmond Capital LLC (DBA FableForge), the company that operates this service. By using FableForge you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

FableForge generates personalized bedtime stories using AI based on inputs you provide (your child's first name, age, setting, companion, and lesson). Stories are intended as a calm, family-friendly read-aloud experience and are not advice (medical, psychological, legal, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for reviewing each story before sharing it with a child.

2. Eligibility

FableForge is intended for adults age 18 or older who are signing up on behalf of themselves or a child in their care. Children may enjoy the stories with a parent or guardian; the account itself must belong to an adult.

3. Free tier and paid subscriptions

• Each registered email may generate up to three (3) personalized stories per calendar month at no cost.
• Paid plans unlock unlimited story generation. Current pricing and terms are shown on our pricing page.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your payment receipt; cancellation stops future renewals and you retain access through the end of the current billing period.
• One-time purchases (such as a printed keepsake) are not subscriptions and are billed once.

4. Refunds

If you're unhappy with your subscription, email hello@fableforge.cloud within 14 days of any charge and we will refund it. Refunds for printed keepsakes are handled case by case (we cannot refund a book that has shipped, but we will reprint anything that arrives damaged).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use FableForge to generate content that is sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate for children — our safety rules already prevent this, but please don't try; (b) attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service; (c) resell or republish stories at scale without permission; (d) impersonate another person.

6. Intellectual property

You retain rights to the personal information you provide. The stories generated for your family are yours to enjoy, save, print, and share with friends and family. Please do not republish them commercially or claim them as a human-authored work. The FableForge name, logo, and code are ours.

7. AI disclosure

Stories are generated by an AI model (Anthropic Claude) and reviewed against safety rules before delivery. Despite our care, AI can occasionally produce errors or unusual phrasing. If something seems off in a story, please re-generate or contact us.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee the service will be available without interruption. We may modify or discontinue features at our discretion. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, FableForge is provided "as is" and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pima County, Arizona.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
